line-up of masterclasses throughout both days,
held in a dedicated Masterclass Clinic Room.

In association with Mike Dolbear & Mikedolbear.com the masterclass suite seats 300 people and each performance is based upon a first come, first served basis. Once a masterclass has begun, there will not be any further access allowed into the suite.

Thomas took up drumming at the age of 5. In addition to lessons at local music schools and years of private tuition, Thomas was formally educated at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. After leaving the conservatory, Lang began working professionally – working his way through the European Pop, Rock and Jazz scenes.

Daniel Borrego12:15Drum kit to Cajon with Daniel Borrego (Percussity)

Daniel will be talking about his approach to the Cajon and how he integrates and applies the concept of the drum kit to this instrument. He will also be demonstrating how he transfers Contemporary and Latin rhythms including Rock, Samba, Songo and Guaguanco from the drum kit to the Cajon. The Masterclass will illustrate how to apply transferable skills to the Cajon and how to get different sounds from the instrument.

With the help of some very well-known guests, specialist drum tuner Jeff Davenport leads an informal and friendly analysis of tuning technique and Remo head selection. All your tuning questions will be answered, and you’ll discover the potential of the entire Remo Drumhead range, learning how to adapt that to your own style and musical interests.

Ash Soan appears on no less than three albums in the current UK charts with Adele, Cee Lo Green and Eliza Doolittle. Neal Wilkinson, also an international session and recording artist, has performed with the likes of James Morrison and TV’s X Factor as well as appearing on studio albums with artists such as Duffy.
