Senri Kawaguchi was born in 1997 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, and started playing drums at the age of 5. She studied under Kozo Suganuma, known as "TE-KA-ZU-OH” (The King of Many Strokes) from the age of 8. Her drumming is garnering attention around the world and her videos on YouTube have gathered over 40 billion views. She was featured on Drummerworld.com as one of the world’s Top 500 drummers.
In 2013, she released her first album "A La Mode” when she was just 16 years old. In June 2014 she released her 2nd album "Buena Vista”, recorded in Los Angeles. In January 2014, she made a success of a solo live performance in LA. In April of the same year, she played with Lee Ritenour, a world famous guitarist, at Blue Noto Tokyo. In 2015, Senri released the live DVD "Senri Kawaguchi Live Tour 2014 Buena Vista”, and the following year released her 3rd. In September of 2017 he appeared as a recording member on Tokyo jazz, and later that year played with David Sanborn at Blue Note Tokyo, which was featured on the cover of the American drum magazine "DRUMHEAD MAGAZINE". Currently, she works in the studio and conducts live performances in all over the world, all while attending university.
